At FitHab, we have several defining principles that set us apart. We believe fitness should be simple, effective, fun, and ideally outdoors. We can train FitHab anywhere – in a gym, in a park, playground, in the woods, or an urban environment. Wherever we are, it is our FitHab playground. We help you make fitness a habit.
Our mission is to contribute to a better quality of life by helping the community understand the importance of active living, and motivate and support clients with a positive attitude and in depth knowledge to help them overcome uncertainties.
The Guiding Principles of FitHab Are:
MOBILE – We train in a variety of places, outdoors, parks, playgrounds, woods, urban environments, etc.
SIMPLE – Life is complicated, fitness shouldn’t be, especially to stay healthy
EFFECTIVE – If it isn’t effective and you don’t see results, it’s not working
PLAY – If it isn’t fun and enjoyable it’s hard to find time to make fitness a habit
OUTDOORS – We believe training outdoors is better, healthier, and more fun. In a place like California, we can do this year-round.
NATURAL/EVOLUTIONARY – We design our training to follow natural and evolutionary patterns. Natural means following the natural laws of basic human biology. Evolutionary means that we understand humans evolved to structurally incorporate a wide range of movement patterns. We train them all, respecting the natural laws.
FitHab Base Camp is located in Redwood City, CA. We train clients in Redwood City, Emerald Hills, San Carlos, Woodside, Menlo Park, Atherton, and Portola Valley. We
also have an expanding video library, articles and research, and are working to get our blog up and running. We are also able to offer remote training sessions and coaching over a broadband Internet connection.
